A once-in-a-generation project to connect Texas—landscape, community, and culture—through a 1,500+ mile hiking, biking & equestrian route.
We are actively laying the groundwork for what will become Texas’s next great legacy. The mountain biking and hiking scenes are growing. The communities are ready. And the xTx is rising.
Our tiny-but-mighty team is working around the clock to prepare for the Trail’s soft opening in January 2026, but that is just the beginning.
In the years to come, we will continue to improve the route, build water and shelter stops along the route, and give Texans a seat at the table to provide input on the future of the xTx.
